Drop-in Support – Street Reach
Street Reach is a grass roots outreach service, guided by the principle of harm reduction and provides outreach, drop in services, individual supports, system navigation and crisis interventions to marginalized populations. The ideal candidate for this position would be passionate about working alongside marginalized populations, enjoy problem solving, and enjoy an active team environment.
As the drop-in support, the candidate would be responsible for providing “in the moment” support to participants who attend the drop-in space at our location. Duties would include distribution of SWAP supplies, referrals to community and other supports, crisis intervention, management/distribution of donated items.
This position is currently for a maximum of 25 hours per week, for one year.
University degree in the field of social work, mental health, community development, counselling, or other relevant field of study
2 years’ experience working with populations with complex needs. Specific experience conducting outreach will be considered an asset
Record of conduct and vulnerable sector check screening
Vehicle would be an asset
