Who We are

Thrive, along with partnering organizations, are supporting and enhancing the roles of People with Lived and Living Experiences (PWLLE) with its new endeavor, of incorporating Peer Support Workers for whom will address substance use across a comprehensive continuum of care.

The Substance Use and Addictions Program will provide peer support, harm reduction services, and recovery supports. The project is a collaboration between Thrive, Stella’s Circle, The Gathering Place, U Turn Drop in Centre in Carbonear and also Mokami Status of Women’s Council in Labrador.

The main focus of this program is to enhance and support the roles of People with Lived and Living Experiences (PWLLE) within the organizations that address substance use. The therapeutic value of persons with lived experiences sharing their stories and instilling hope (peer support) is very important in the continuum of care for those with substance use issues.
