Girls Rock NL is an inclusive musical community, mentorship program, and non-profit organization that builds self-esteem amongst gender marginalized youth in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Target Population:

Gender marginalized youth ages 8-16.

Highlights of Programs/Services Offered:

  • Girls Rock NL fosters confidence, leadership, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration through music and performance empowering youth while encouraging a more diverse and inclusive province.
  • Complementing the music component, Girls Rock NL offers fun opportunities for campers to speak with and listen to local musicians, take part in leadership workshops, and make new friends in a safe and encouraging environment.
  • Virtual lessons: Fall & Summer sessions are available for viewing young people sharing their creative skills that are taught by youth for youth. Click here to view the lessons
  • Art Jams: open to girls and youth of other marginalized genders ages 8-18 years old. Art Jams takes place every Tuesday from 6:30-7:30pm (NST) via Zoom and registrants will be sent a link on the day of each Jam. Girls Rock camp is all about having fun, learning new things, building confidence and making new friends. For questions or further information email us
