Mandate:

Artforce, formerly For the Love of Learning, is dedicated to serving at-risk youth through arts-based programming and connections, helping them discover creative resilience and develop life strategies for independence and success. We’re committed to fostering a safe space that encourages creativity and fun, and where everyone is challenges to grow. 

Target Population:

NL youth ages 15-30 with the will to learn and create.

Highlights of Programs/Services Offered:

 

• Art: Learn about filmmaking, photography, theatre, fine arts, creative writing, and other career paths in the arts with Artforce. We offer classes and workshops and have an annual art exhibit featuring all our clients’ work. Discover your talents and learn how to become an artistic force. 
• Career-Building: From resume-writing workshops, an annual Arts Career Training (A.C.T.) expo, computer training, and career shadowing; Artforce offers services to help youth get back to work or school with confidence. Find out more about which programs work for you! 
• Peer Support: You know more about your experience than anyone, and that can help someone else more than you can imagine. Artforce helps youth learn peer-mentoring and leadership, building on your experiences and teaching us all that we’re stronger than we think.
