Mandate: To advance and promote the professional role of foster parents; to provide a collective voice for Foster Families in Newfoundland and Labrador; and, to promote collaborative partnerships that strengthen policies, programs and services which enhance the care and support provided to children and families in a manner that is sensitive to their cultural and individual needs.

Highlight of Programs / Services Offered: The association works in partnership with the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development, Foster Families, local associations and the community to meet the needs of foster parents and to enhance the care and support provided to children in care and their families. The four primary areas of focus are support, recruitment and retention, education and advocacy. Some of our services include; a peer mentoring program, educational sessions for students and the general public, recruitment campaign, social media presence, regional training days, an annual conference, travel throughout the province and a quarterly newsletter.
