Mandate:
The Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre is an incorporated body and registered charity dedicated to the support of individuals needing assistance to manage the challenges of everyday life. We are committed to offering a welcoming environment based on realistic values. You can read more about our vision and mission here.
Target Population:
Individuals who are struggling, particularly with food insecurity.
Highlights of Programs/Services Offered:
- Seniors Inclusion Program: Happening every Wednesday from 11:00am-3:00pm, the Seniors Inclusion Program involves games, activities, and presentations to engage seniors and provide a space for socialization. There is a weekly $5 drop-in fee, with lunch provided.
- Hot Breakfast Program: Every Monday from 8:30am-10:00am, sponsored by Cenovus Energy, our kitchen volunteers serve hot meals to those in need.
- Soup Kitchen: Every Friday, our kitchen serves hot meals from 10:30am-12:00pm. This program is regularly supported by NL Hydro, The Delta Hotel and Conference Centre St. John’s and the Sheraton Hotel St. John’s who donate meals and volunteer their time to help facilitate this program.
