We are a community-based supportive housing program for individuals who require support as a result of a severe and persistent mental illness.
Individuals who have a primary diagnosis of psychiatric illness or concurrent disorder and are at least 18 years of age, remembering that the majority of community care residents are middle-aged to senior.
Highlights of Programs/Services Offered:
Our program provides residential, psychiatric, case management and therapeutic recreation services to voluntary residents. Community care homes are privately owned and operated with the majority being located in the Conception Bay area. There are currently over a dozen community care homes which are staffed 24 hours a day, with over 150 placements in the program. The Regional Health Authority is responsible for monitoring and licensing the homes according to the Provincial Personal Care Home Operational Standards.
