Mandate:
The goal of the WILD Outside program is to inspire youth participants to develop a passion for conservation, an awareness of their natural environment and a deeper appreciation for wildlife
Target Population:
Youth ages 15-18.
Highlights of Programs/Services Offered:
WILD Outside – a free national conservation-based youth leadership program. The program includes outdoor & team building activities (ex. canoeing/kayaking, rock climbing, snowshoeing, camp skills), conservation service activities (ex. shoreline cleanups, citizen science, planting a community garden), and speaker series. All with the goal of providing opportunities to learn new skills, personal growth and encouraging a “conservation ethic.”
