The engineering students of Memorial University value the importance of giving back to their community. Each year, they are dedicated to improving the lives of those around us by contributing to a meaningful cause. The proceeds from the 16th Annual Winter Charity Ball will be split and donated to The Blue Door Program and The Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Winter Charity Ball will take place on Friday, February 2nd, 2024, at the Bally Haly Golf Club. The event will feature a three-course meal, entertainment, and a silent and live auction.

The Blue Door Program is a St. John’s based program is designed to support individuals, primarily between the ages of 14-29, who have experiences in the sex trade, including sexual exploitation and sex trafficking, and are looking for support. The Blue Door Program offers individualized supports that look different for each participant but are always centered on relationship building and grounded in a harm reduction and trauma-informed approach.
